World TB Day

Let’s raise awareness about Tuberculosis (TB) and its impact on global health. TB is a preventable and treatable infectious disease, yet it remains one of the top 10 causes of death worldwide.

Here are some key points to remember:
1️⃣ TB is caused by bacteria that usually attack the lungs, but it can affect any part of the body.
2️⃣ Symptoms include coughing, chest pain, weakness, weight loss, fever, and night sweats.
3️⃣ TB is spread through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. It is not spread by shaking hands, sharing food, or kissing.
4️⃣ Treatment for TB involves a combination of antibiotics taken for several months. It’s crucial to complete the full course of treatment to prevent drug-resistant strains from developing.
5️⃣ Early diagnosis and treatment are key to preventing the spread of TB and saving lives.

Let’s join hands to #EndTB by spreading awareness, supporting those affected, and advocating for better healthcare systems worldwide.
