Human Rights Day.
The kite flying activity represent, building solidarity by small acts of care.
This event focuses on women workers in the informal economy. Violence against women and girls in the workplace is a physical effect and persistent problem. It happens in all industries in both the public and private sector and in every corner of the world
On top of already existing inequalities and discrimination, women have shouldered extra caring responsibility with no or little extra support. Women’s unpaid care work has long been recognized as a driver of inequality with direct links to wage inequality, lower income, and physical and mental health stressors.
Zambia Tuberculosis and Leprosy Trust organization, had engaged into the kite flying activity at the workplace to create awareness among women. The participates for this event were;
